Whats going on the Gervin farm
On the Gervin Farm their are not many things going on, but their are some things. For one I got some new chicks from Bergs hatchery a couple weeks ago, we are raising them for meat so we will butcher them sometime in bow hunting season late august, September), I also bought some geese, one African goose (named Winston), and three other white Danish Geese, and they are for meat). If any of you are wondering (or Care) my laying hens are doing very well and laying lots of big double yolkers, but they are are starting to slow down a little because they are about 2 years old or around that somewhere. My rooster is doing pretty good, he crows every thirty seconds and it gets sort of annoying, and every time he is by a hen he breeds it which is also kind of annoying, he tries to breed chicks, he bred my silkie, and I haven't given him a chance with the geese but I bet if I did, he would breed them to. My Silkies are also doing pretty good, they don't do much but sit there and look pretty except for my silkie rooster Bob, his crow is really pathetic and he is really ugly, he does his job pretty well though (breeding My other silkies) and my full grown silkie, Suzy, and him are inseparable, if you take one away they cluck and cry and run around and will not be quiet until you return the other one.
